Epiphany is a triptych on rebirth, my rebirth after Dissociation. My work often addresses the theme of autobiography as representation, here it is about a personal and intimate genesis, a triptych in three stages, a revelation, an evolution, a revolution. The studio is a space that I consider out of the real world, like a theater or a church, you enter it to get away from reality, it is a space which opens another dimension, another time. I like to immerse myself in this dark space to metaphorically give birth, appear, disappear. In the studio, I found the place where I can finally be reborn.

When you feel you were never born, when you feel you waited for too long, when you felt empty and on your own, when you face truth with absolute light, when you see a glimpse out of the dark, when you know you can shine, Epiphany.

Epiphany est une série sur la renaissance, ma renaissance après Dissociation. Mon travail aborde souvent le thème de l’autobiographie en tant que représentation, ici il est question d’une genèse personnelle et intime, un triptyque en trois actes : une révélation, une évolution, une révolution. Le studio est un espace hors du temps, tel un théâtre ou une église, car on y entre pour quitter la réalité, c’est un espace ouvrant sur une autre dimension, un autre temps. J’aime m’y plonger dans le noir et y faire naître, apparaître, disparaître. Dans le studio, j’ai trouvé l’endroit où je peux enfin renaître.

Quand on sent que l’on n’est jamais vraiment né, quand on sent que l’attente a été bien trop longue, quand on se sent vide et seul au monde, quand on fait face à une vérité qui surgit comme une lumière absolue dans la pénombre, quand on sait que l’on peut enfin exister. Epiphanie.
